In his KOSMOS lectures at the Berliner Universität in 1828, Alexander von Humboldt played a key role in shaping the view of the modern natural sciences. In the KOSMOS lectures organized by Prof. Christoph Schneider at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2019, international researchers explored Humboldt's views, which are still relevant today, and applied them to questions of modern research.
